The Navier-Stokes equations are derived in the coordinate system rotating around the vertical axis. As a starting point the corresponding differential equations are used in the Cartesian coordinates for inviscid liquid with account of possible compressibility and effect of the mass forces (gravity and other ones, e.g. electromagnetic). The transformation of the coordinates is performed and then the Navier-Stokes equations are derived. The obtained equations are analyzed for a number of physical situations.
