This paper focuses on new technologies in education. The rapid development of technology and the pandemic of Covid-19 demonstrated the need for the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT), supporting the educational practice and changing the traditional way of learning. At the same time in recent years, virtual reality seems to have a positive impact on learning, with several foreign countries using it as a way of sharing knowledge. Virtual environments, based on the theory of Constructivism, continue to attract the interest of pupils, who are in constant interaction with other users and with virtual items. Through the OP, students can take virtual tour in any place in the world, enjoy learning a foreign language and develop a sense of empathy. With the full-immersion helmet and special tactile gloves, students acquire knowledge through exciting experiences. The beneficial effects of virtual reality could be exploited by the Department of Aesthetics and Cosmetology for the education of students at the University of West Attica. Enhancing education with such advanced technology is not far off as other technologies, such as augmented reality and artificial intelligence, are already being used in the e-form trade. The purpose of this paper is to explore the benefits of new technologies and OP in education and, in the field of Aesthetics and Cosmetology.
