PDFAbstract: Natural vibrations of nano-beams are studied. The beams under consideration have constant dimensions and are weakened by cracks or crack-like defects. Making use of a non-local theory of elasticity the influence of the crack on the vibration of the nano-beam is modelled with the aid of a massless rotating spring connecting the adjacent segments of the nano-beam.
