TITLE
Radiation-protective Properties of Emergency Clothing for Firefighters
ABSTRACT
A method for determining the effectiveness of radiation-protective clothing under external radiation exposure has been developed and tested in laboratory conditions. The attenuation coefficient of gamma and beta radiation from radionuclide sources by a composite shielding material has been measured. A method is proposed for determining the composition of the material from the spectrum of characteristic radiation, which significantly affects the exposure of personnel in radiation protective clothing.
