Improving Input Tracking and Noise Reduction of Buck/boost DC-DC Converter Using Adaptive Feedforward and Feedback Controllers

pdf PDF

ABSTRACT

The compensation of the sharp jumping in the input voltage of the DC-DC converters; buck-boost has been investigated in this paper. A combined averaging and linearization techniques have been utilized to generate a mathematical model for buck-boost DC-DC converters. Two control schemes, Feedback and adaptive Feedforward controllers, have been applied in the developed model. The MATLAB/SIMULINK 2015a software has been used in order to demonstrate more realistic model which include some parasitic parameters. The simulation results show that using two degree of freedom controllers is better than the one with only feedback controller and the adaptive Feedforward controller can handle the parameters changing problem. The Disturbance rejection and input tracking were improved for all DC-DC converter types under several conditions.
